Eduardo Molinari
I am 48 years old. I married Blanca 19 years ago and we have 2 daughters: Rocio and María.
Education
After school graduation I studied Pharmacy at the University of Madrid, not necessarily proving an early interest in reinsurance and a family tradition of reinsurers.
Business Career and professional Developments - Major Stages
1979: I joined Reasyre, a Reinsurance Broker firm owned by my father. My first job was to work in a primary insurance mutual – Alianza, where I learned the basics of insurance in the life, property, claims and reinsurance departments.
1981: I spent 5 months in La Vittoria Riassicurazioni in the accounting and underwriting departments.
1984: I spent the summer in Copenhagen with Baltica-Nordisk Re in the Life department. Just 2 months after my wedding I "escaped" to Munich for a medical underwriting course with Frankona.
While working as a reinsurance broker I received my Bachelor in insurance and Master in Life assurance and pension schemes.
Hobbies and Sports
My favourite sport is water skiing; I practice it in the summer time on an artificial lake 100 kilometres away from Madrid. During winter we normally go to the Pyrenees for skiing.
Four years ago I started playing golf or I should rather say that I am fighting with golf. Now my daughter Rocio plays with me and I admit that I very much enjoy seeing her progress and she encourages me to improve my scores. I am looking forward to playing golf with the whole family.
