Claude VercassonEducationI studied mathematics in Saint Etienne (where the famous soccer team comes from). Then I entered an actuarial school based in Lyon called ISFA and graduated in September 1980. Business Career and professional Development - Major Stages1980: I joined the actuarial department of Scor. At that time I was in charge of actuarial of actuarial matters for USA, Canada, France and other European countries. 1983: I quit for Corefi whose name changed in 1986 to UAP Re and finally we merged in 1989 with Scor, a great comeback! As a Director, I was responsible for USA, Canada, UK, France, Italy and the Far East. 1989: I was nominated in charge of USA, Canada and the Far East. I was the leader in creating the Scor Vie in Singapore and Scor Vie in Canada by buying a block of long term disability business. At the same time I was in charge of setting up the life activity of UAP Re in USA (Urbaine Life). 1994: I quit Scor to join GE Frankona Re of France as Life Manager. 2002: I joined Hannover Life Re. Hobbies and SportsI love sports and enjoy facing dangerous challenges. I dive a lot and take part in "trekkings" mainly in Nepal. I went up to the Sanctuary of Annapurna (4,700 meters). I have also been up to the of Kilimanjaro (6,000 meters). I play soccer, enjoy jogging, go skiing... Recently I have started to enjoy driving "Porsches" on training courses. |
