Our PhilosophyThe business philosophy which Hannover Life Re has developed over the years and which will guide us well into the 21st century rests on three basic principles:
'Focus' reflects our attitude of restricting our involvement to marketplaces where we excel and where we can deliver above-average value to our clients. The flip side of this coin is our uncompromised conviction to shy commodity markets – no matter how important they may be considered by others – where price plays the dominating role in reinsurance placements. The 'partnership' aspect details our desire to build long-term relationships with our customers, with the intention of creating 'win-win-situations'. The role of reinsurer evolves into a trusted advisor, with CRM playing a vital role in structuring the relationships between primary insurers and their reinsurer. The paramount and ultimate purpose of Hannover Life Re is to design, structure and implement 'solutions'. These solutions need to be transparent, they have to be compliant with local regulatory and auditing practices and they have to meet the requirements of rating agencies –a number of stakeholders have to be taken into consideration. By applying these principles, we firmly believe that Hannover Life Re will continue to be a business success as over the past 10 years, in which we have grown from a 'nobody' to one of the leading players in the arena of international life reinsurance. |
