Operating under the Hannover Life Re brand, which represents all the Life & Health activities of the Hannover Re Group we have stepped up our activities in the priority markets of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, South Africa, France, Ireland, Barbados, China and Italy. These 10 markets account for approximately 87% of our premium volume.
In the international arena we have appreciably expanded our market position over the past years through organic growth, and we now rank among the most important life and health reinsurers in the world. We enjoy the status of either market leader or number two player in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Sweden, Malaysia and Australia, while in the United States we are the largest specialty life reinsurer.
Network
We are supported by a global network of eight licensed reinsurers as well as seven branches of Hannover Re. Altogether an average of 700 staff on all continents serve our customers.
