Hannover Re Services Italy Srl

The office in Milan was created by Hannover Re in 1988. Our life reinsurance activity started two years later.

With the background of Hannover Life Re's global network, the team in Milan makes available its worldwide knowledge and experience to Italian and South East European clients.

Our traditional business is focused on providing reinsurance with financing of acquisition costs for life insurers. This will continue to be an important segment in our Italian and South East European life & health portfolio comprising a volume of EUR 100 million as of today.

In line with Hannover Life Re's strategy we co-operate with our clients in the development of new products. Recent examples are Unemployment Insurance linked to Credit Life or new concepts for Long-Term Care covers in our markets.

The Italian market has a high potential for bancassurance and Hannover Life Re can provide services to our clients to develop expertise in this subject.
