Hannover Rueckversicherung AG, Korean Branch

The most recent addition to the Hannover Re Network, the Hannover Re Korea Branch was established in May 2008, and is in operation for life and health reinsurance business as a part of the decentralised structure of Hannover Life Re.

With gross premium volume of around EUR 56 billion, Korea is the seventh-largest life insurance market in the world and one of the largest life insurance markets in Asia thus offering enormous growth potential.

The Korea Branch will focus on the cultivation of new markets as well as providing treaty and facultative reinsurance for traditional life and health products in line with the liberalisation of the Korean market and in compliance with the three basic principles of Hannover Life Re: Focus, Partnership, Solutions.
