Hannover Re has been servicing the ASEAN region and Pakistan since the late 1970s. Our regional base in Kuala Lumpur was upgraded to a life branch in January 2000.
Hannover Re Malaysian Branch is active in providing Automatic and Facultative reinsurance for traditional life and health products. Flexible, innovative and creative reinsurance solutions include YRT (yearly renewable term), coinsurance, modified-coinsurance on a surplus or quota share basis. We also specialize in new business financing and Block Assumption Transactions for individual life products.
For the benefit of our clients we regularly hold special seminars locally and in Germany covering a variety of underwriting, actuarial, marketing and management topics.
As part of a leading reinsurance group, Hannover Life Re has the further advantage of access to many life insurance companies. This offers an ideal opportunity to place selected participants in an environment exposing them to the running of foreign life insurance companies.
We have also established a facility, informally called Task Force Asia, to provide our Asian clients with direct, immediate and cost-efficient access to the broad spectrum of life insurance expertise which has been built up in the North American insurance markets by connecting with top qualified, retired or semi-retired professionals from leading US and Canadian insurers.
